Richard A. Knackendoffel

Dr. Richard A. Knackendoffel is a graduate of Kansas State University. He received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed his orthopedic surgery training at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

A board certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Knackendoffel has served on boards of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics; as Chief of Staff of Community Hospital's board in Grand Junction, Colorado; and as Surgical Chairman for Community Hospital's surgical department for several years.

 Dr. Knackendoffel has practiced with Western Orthopedics & Sports Medicine since 1987 and a team physician for Colorado Mesa University. In addition, he has served as a member on the board of the Powderhorn Racing Club, and as the medical officer for numerous ski racing events at Powderhorn Resort and throughout Colorado.

Dr. Knackendoffel specializes in arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the knee, shoulder, wrist, ankle, and elbow. He also performs joint replacement arthroplasty of the hip, knee, and shoulder.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and children and outdoors activities of skiing, fly fishing, hunting, and hiking.
