Sean received his Bachelor of Science degree in general biology from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado, in 1993. After working for a year in a hospital, he enrolled in the University of Colorado Health Science Center and received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1996.
After graduating, Sean worked in an all-inclusive (skilled nursing, acute, and outpatient) rehabilitation facility in Arizona before returning to Colorado to work at an outpatient, orthopedic sports medicine clinic in Grand Junction, Colorado. In 1998, the clinic was purchased by St. Mary's Hospital, where he continued to work in orthopedic, manual, and sports medicine therapies. In 2006, Sean established Tailwind Therapies and formed a collaborative partnership with Western Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
