The objective of joint replacement is to ease pain and restore motion to joints that are damaged by injury or disease. Joint pain should be addressed early before extensive damage occurs, which may result in total joint replacement. Joint replacement procedures allow people to maintain and/or regain their functional independence, which improves quality of life and reduces disability rates. We perform hip replacement, shoulder replacement, knee replacement, ankle replacement, and finger replacement procedures. At Western Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, patient support and education about joint replacement are initiated at the first visit, continue through surgery, and extend through the recovery and physical therapy process. |
